    Timber Rattlesnake

My cousin killed one today, about 150 yards behind our house. Smack dab on the 4-lane in Pound, right next to Robo's.. Second one we've seen 2 months. This was the smaller of the 2. About 3 - 3.5 feet long.. 6 rattles and button.

My cousin killed the second one a week or so ago around his house in Hiltons. I believe he said it had 12 rattles. I may be mistaken on that, but it was a biggun I reckon.

I hate snakes , but a guy got fined down in Lee County a couple of years ago. He put his picture in the local paper and it turned out rattlers of many kinds are endangered. Be careful who you tell.
